Thank you Paul. I have photographed a lot of bird dogs over the years but this image is special to me as the dog in the pic was my dog Mandy. She was the best bird dog I have ever had but she went blind when she was about seven years old due to an auto-immune problem. Mandy died about three years later. She was a real sweetheart and could find birds when my friends setters,, etc were shut out. I once lost her in a bunch of cedars. She was on point on a covey of quail uphill from me. She saw me looking for her and moved her head just enough to ring the bell on her collar. I still wonder if she did on purpose to get my attention or if it was just a coincidence.
